The Cisco IDS product line delivers a broad range of solutions that allow easy integration into many different environments, including enterprise and service provider environments. Each sensor addresses the bandwidth requirements at one of several speeds, from 80 Mbps to gigabits per second. The Cisco IDS-4215 can monitor up to 80 Mbps of aggregate traffic and is suitable for T1/E1 and T3 environments. With the addition of the four-port fast Ethernet (4FE) card, the IDS-4215 supports five monitoring interfaces (10/100BASE-TX), which provide simultaneous protection for multiple subnets.
